Nancy and Mike Ring, Ring Brothers share with us their trip to the inaugural Global Auto Salon in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This show was massive in scale, with automobiles, designers, builders, artist and stunt drivers. Mike describes the event as a “Automotive Carnival”. Nancy will talk about the culture and about the wonderful people of the region.
We want to find out how the American automobiles were received and did they really sell any of them to the peoples of Saudi. There were rumors floating around that the cars would sell for more money than here in the U.S.
Butch Brinza will share some of his techniques for matching paint. You might find some of his ideas helpful. Butch’s reputation is built on working with custom builders, challenging projects with the big three American auto manufactures, paint schemes for Harley Davidson, non-peeling paint for land speed record rockets and the trust of Rolls Royce. Owners of rare autos and bikes continue to try talk him out of his – well deserved – retirement. He continues to contribute his artwork for charitable events.
