This interview was recorded as part of the Iola Uncut Interview Series. *

Greg has a mission to support all car enthusiasts.

He continues to build the physical facility that includes a full speed shop, metal fabrication area, full paint booth, mechanical booths and massive storage buildings.

The physical plant isn’t enough. He assembled a world class team of “like minded” people to work on customer’s vehicles. They offer full-service restorations and custom modifications. From body fabrications to chassis construction to power plant designs – this shop has everything to offer any customer.

Included in Greg’s mission is to serve low-income clients. They don’t have a large budget but still would love to have a classic ride. Greg will walk you around his large stable of barn finds and vehicles that just need a little TLC.

Leah has a mission to serve the culture of the car and motorcycle people.

Enclosed within the main building is a large vintage store with full lines of clothing and beauty accessories.

From her vast knowledge of clothing, she hand-picks everything. Her work in helping others to boost their self-esteem with tailored outfits and make up technics is well know throughout the country.

John Wells on why this will be the last Retro Rewind.

For 7 years there has been a Midwest winter vintage car and motorcycle show. It is called the Retro Rewind and was the creation of the famous promotor – John Wells – who created two other successful shows – Vintage Torgue Fest and Iron Invasion.

Recently, John announced that this January’s Retro Rewind will be the last one.

Unfortunately, we have been reporting that some of the best and long-standing events are closing. Recently, we reported that the “Meltdown Vintage Drags will not be returning. And after 36 years the Elkhorn Swap Meet and Car Show will not happen for 2022 and possible forever.

Let’s find out from John what happened and why.

Check out how you can participate in the last Retro Rewind. It’s being held on January 4th, 2022 at the Five Flags Theater in Dubuque Iowa.  Click here for Facebook posts.
