Von Hot Rod – The Master of the Fine Line
This is part of the Iola Interview series*
Hot Rod is his legal name and somewhere faithful followers added “Von” to it. He knows that adding it pays homage to Von Dutch who was a famous pinstripper.
He travels the world creating and teaching his craft. From applying painted strips on custom vehicles to the smallest areas of a pair of sunglasses.
In this interview he shares his humbled start in the motorsports with opening a speed shop located in California. It was here that he discovered his God Giving talent of pulling paint on customers cars and motorcycles. The shop became a huge success but his heart was with helping others through his art. He sold his store and gave away most of his processions to concentrate on Christian Fellowship where he found that he could spread “the word of God” through showing others the artform of pinstriping. He found meditation and peace of mind in each line he made. So he became know as Pastor Von Hod Rod and has been on a glorious journey ever since.
During this session with Von Hot Rod we found out that his passion and energy comes from a higher calling. When listening to the interview you will feel good and happy to be a part of the motorsport industry.
