Several big shows going on this weekend to celebrate the 4th with distinct differences.

  • Night of Fire Jet Cars at Great Lakes Drag-a-way in Union Grove, WI. Friday night on July 3rd. Yep – a jet engine strapped between four wheels. It’s something to see, hear and feel. We will give a report about last week’s Out-A-Sight Drags hosted by the Brew City Gassers. It was held at Great Lake Dragaway in Union Grove, WI. It was two days of 1967 and older classic dragsters.

We received a letter from a concerned Hot Rodder about COVID and what he sees at some of cruise night venues.

We will have a guest modeler. Duke submitted a really cool Gasser model. You will be able to see it when the video version of the show is posted to “Adventures of Captn’ Bob and Arlo” Youtube channel. We will be sending him one of our cool HOTROD t-shirts. You can submit your build by sending photos and a brief description to comments@wisconsinhotrodradio.com

We want everyone listening to help out the community of Iola, Wisconsin. The Iola Car Show is always in the top 10 shows in the nation. (forbes). This year the board of directors of the show made a hard decision to not open this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This cancellation will leave over 150 charities without much needed funding. The board has decided to host a “Rally for Iola” cruise to help offset some of the lost funding. The event is being held on Saturday, July 11th. For more info…
