You’ve taken your classic car out of storage and have spent untold hours spiffing it up. Now it’s time to show it off.

The Greater Milwaukee International Car & Truck Show provides the perfect opportunity to do so. For the first time, made possible by the change in venue from the Wisconsin Center downtown to State Fair Park in West Allis, it will hold a classic car show where collectors from the area can show off their vehicles.

The annual Car & Truck Show runs from Wednesday, May 5, through Sunday, May 9. The classic car show, sort of a show within a show, will be held on two days: Saturday, May 8, and Sunday, May 9, rain or shine. Participants can show off their cars on one, or both, days.

The show is organized with the help of Milwaukee legends Captain Bob and Arlo, of Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio. They will be judging the Saturday and Sunday shows and also are set to do their popular broadcast and webcast from the show.

Classic car owners can sign up to participate in advance at Autoshowmilwaukee.com/experience or upon arrival on the days of the shows. Any collector who displays a car will receive free admission to the International Car & Truck Show. There they will find the newest, fastest, most powerful, and most luxurious performance, sports and muscle cars that you can buy from dealers across southeastern Wisconsin, as well as family cars, economy cars, SUVs, crossovers, models for first-time buyers and more.

The collector shows will be held outdoors along South Grandstand Ave., right next to the Exposition Center, where the new cars will be on display inside. Since the grandstand can provide cover, the classic shows will go on rain or shine.

Captain Bob and Arlo will award trophies to winners on each day. Organizers say security will be provided for owners who want to participate both days and leave their vehicles on the grounds overnight.

Here are the specifics:

What: A classic car show being held over two days as part of the Greater Milwaukee International Car & Truck Show. Participate on one or both days.

All car owners participating in the classic show get two free tickets to the Car & Truck Show.  If you did not receive these prior to arrival, show attendants will have tickets on hand.
