Show Date: 10/31/2015

Boys will be boys!

The Boys will be heading to Las Vegas next week to participate in the largest automotive convention in the world – SEMA – Specialty Equipment Marketing Association.

This year marks the 49th consecutive SEMA Show. Over the years, the annual event has proven to be best place for manufacturers of automotive parts and accessories to launch new products, and connect with industry buyers from throughout the world.

There is more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space, and an addition 1.5 million square feet of features and attractions throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center, outside areas and neighboring Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino.

The four-day event consistently attracts more than 140,000 individuals and 2,400 exhibitors, dozens of educational seminars, networking events and attractions that highlight industry trends, including live drifting demonstrations, hands-on workshops, nearly 3,000 products in the New Products Showcase and 1,500 one-of-a-kind project vehicles in both exhibitors’ booths and throughout the convention center.

The boys will have a busy week doing audio and video interviews, signing autographs, lining up future interviews, looking for new products and hanging out with a lot of great people.

What’s in a Website?

It’s about time we updated this old vehicle – our WHRR website. We realize we were tampering with a good thing. But, sometimes you have to do a little more than change a spark plug or oil. You have to tear it down and go through everything. Well…. that’s what we’ve done with this website.

Tear it down and rebuild it.

So on this week’s show they will be guiding you through minor “Shakedown” things that pops up when you first take it for a spin.  Like the fact some of you are having trouble with the old site is still up in your browser. Well – here’s what might be happening; imagine you have been living in the same house and in the same neighborhood for over eight years. It’s a nice house but then you have out grown it. It’s not able to hold everything you want to keep. And you have been patching things up as you go along. Not to mention you can’t remodel it anymore. So you decided to move. You move to a bigger house with all the cool gadgets into a new neighborhood.

Now here is the rub.

We’ve notified the post office – or in the case of our guys who use to host our website – to forward all request to our new location for our website.  Like when you type in our www.wisconsinhotrodradio.com. It will take time for the old office – old hosts – to forward everything. Now imagine this has to occur throughout the entire planet of internet connections. Shew.

We know you are going to love our new features. New forms for entering your car show information. Smoother and much easier to use. And that information will go directly to the Car Show section of our website. No more data entry for old Captn Bob and Arlo. This means your information gets posted much quicker. Using the special viewing and filter features of this section – you can determine how the information can be displayed.

So continue to look around and use this website. There will be more to come.
