Bob Bennett – Bennett Coachworks.

Bennett Coachworks is a proud sponsor of Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio.

We will be checking in with Bob to see how is shop is doing and his personal “life and death” struggle.

He’s been called “Milwaukee’s mechanic” in an interview on Fox’s local channel 6 because his custom shop is still located in the heart of Milwaukee, WI. While others prefer to set up shop in the burbs – Bob won’t give up on the city he loves. Memories of cruising Wisconsin Ave challenging others and swapping thumbs up out the window of a hot rod.  To meeting up with friends at the famous Leon’s Custard Stand on the Southside’s historic Hwy 41 or Mark’s Big Boy.

He and his talented team have built vehicles that have won awards in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance competition. Building cars that can compete on a race course, road rallies and straight line drag tracks.

Bob is popular with our audience because of his fun storytelling and he’s not afraid to share his life beliefs. And of course, we want to hear about all the great projects his team is working on.

Chaz Hastings – Wisconsin Big Boy

Wisconsin Big Boy is a proud sponsor of Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio.

What can we say – we love this guy because he took a chance on bringing back Big Boy Restaurant to Wisconsin after a 20+ years absences and it’s an instant hit.

The Big Boy is the preferred hang out of all generations of car and bike enthusiasts that can be found in over 80 USA locations. Everywhere from Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank, California to Bismark North Dakota and now Germantown, Wisconsin, which is a northern suburb of Milwaukee.

We will be calling Chaz to find out what the response has been since he opened up the restaurant. We are hearing that everyone appreciates the traditional décor, the fantastic food menu and the summer’s cruise nights. During the winter months he has introduced Big Boy After Dark. Every Saturday night there is a live band, food and refreshment specials and special guests.

There are rumors that Chaz is developing a Big Boy comic book, a giant parade float for outdoor and indoor events and the possibility of another restaurant summer cruise night.

A discussion about the UK imposing laws preventing private vehicle ownership.

We have several sources regarding the U.K. Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Department for Transportation Trudy Harrison’s push for public transportation and the elimination of individual modes of transportation.

This trend is being reviewed in the States as a way to reduce carbon emissions and traffic problems. California’s imposing of certain laws against the car owner is being adapted by several other states.

Let’s keep this discussion going.
