Troy Trepanier
Rad Rods by Troy
Winner of the 2017 SEMA Battle of The Builders award.
SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) is the largest trade association of manufactures, retailers, publishing companies, auto restorers, street rod builders, restyles, car clubs, race teams and more.
For several years it has held a competitive event during it’s annual gathering. Hundreds of builders from every genre bring amazing rides to show and compete for the top builder seat.
This year a veteran builder and land speed record holder won the top spot. Troy Trepanier built a 1929 Model A Tudor that stole the show.
Troy owns Rad Rides by Troy which has built some of the industries best of the best. He has won America’s Most Beautiful Roadser at the 2014 Grand Roadster Show, Detroits Autorama “Builder of the Year”, Bonneville Salt Flats World Finals Record Holder, Hot Rod Magazine’s feature and cover and many more.
From his unassuming shop in a little town in the middle of Illinois he continues to design and build automotive legends. He is that rare combination of design stylist, mechanic, fabricator, engineer and inventor.
We are looking forward to talking with Troy again about his recent adventures.
