Colin Comer will be this year’s Chief Judge for Milwaukee’s Concours being held on Sunday, August 28th. Colin has assembled a fantastic team of judges including Donald Osbourne.
This week’s show we – the listeners – will be listening to a conversation with Colin and Donald. Colin in the WHRR studio and Donald on phone. They will be sharing how this year’s Concour vehicles will be judged. It might surprise you on how they have weighted the points.
Colin Comer
Colin, himself has been collecting and evaluating automobiles for some time. He started Colin’s Classic Automobiles early in his life. It is now twenty-five years later and now has become an expert in collectable cars. Throughout the years he has managed to establish a career in racing. He is the author of several intensely researched books on the legendary Shelby with “Shelby Mustang Fifty Years”.
Donald Osborne
Donald will be coming to Milwaukee for the Milwaukee Concours d’ Elegance as a judge. The event will be held Sunday, August 28th, 2016.
Donald is an automotive consultant, historian, Accredited Senior Appraiser and a member of the American Society of Appraisers. He is the Principal of Automotive Valuation Services and advises on collection building, vehicle acquisition, and sales. He travels extensively in the U.S. and Europe, attending major events, rallies, and auctions. He has appeared as co-host of the nationally-broadcast TV show “What’s My Car Worth” and has judged at major concours events including Amelia Island Concours and many others.
Millions see him as host of the segment “Assess & Caress with Donald Osborne” on the CNBC Primetime show Jay Leno’s Garage, where he shares his knowledge of classic car values weekly with Jay and the viewers. Osborne is a contributing editor and auction analyst for Sports Car Market magazine and has written for many publications including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Business Week Online, Hagerty’s, and Road & Track magazine. He is an active participant on many seminar panels and symposia. Osborne is a quintessential car guy who loves sharing his automotive knowledge with other enthusiasts.
