Tasting & Tales 2019

February 26 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

We hope that your winter is going well, and that your plans for the holidays with family and friends are coming together.  We want to make you aware of a mid-winter event that we have planned.
Cruisin’ the Grove will be holding a fundraiser event, with proceeds benefiting BUILD Milwaukee (details below).  The event starts with a whiskey education and tasting, followed by a presentation by Chris Tribbey.  You may recall that Chris, along with his 1911 Excelsior motorcycle, were a special feature at Cruisin’ the Grove’s on-street show this past August.
This promises to be a great evening.  Tickets are limited so purchase yours today!

Whiskey Education & Tasting
The first part of the evening is a whiskey education and tasting event.  Sip and learn about Whiskeys of the World from local whiskey expert, John Bonfilio, while enjoying delicious appetizers.  John, of GoodSon Whiskey Co., has generously donated the whiskey.
You may recall seeing John, along with the Elm Grove Original Scooter Club when they were featured at our Monday cruise nights.
Appetizers are included, compliments of Jamie O’Donoghue of O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub.

Presentation by Chris Tribbey
Following the tasting, there will be a presentation by Chris Tribbey.  Chris recently participated in the coast-to-coast 2018 Motorcycle Cannonball on his 1911 Excelsior motorcycle.  The Cannonball is said to be the most difficult antique endurance run in the world.  For 2018, it was a 16-day ride that started in Portland, Maine and ended in Portland, Oregon.  Chris, who was one of 123 riders, lead the event for the first ten days – come listen to his presentation for the rest of the story!

BUILD Milwaukee
All proceeds from this event will benefit BUILD Milwaukee.  BUILD is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to pairing teams of high school students with bike-building mentors in a collective effort to learn valuable life and interpersonal skills while working on motorcycles.  Their website is BuildMoto.com.
