A major milestone!

We just gave away our last planner. That means Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio and Great Lakes Dragaway gave away over 5 thousand planners. Wow! For those that did not get one...sorry...maybe next year.

Shown here is Dave Cull getting the last planner.

Time Machine Nationals at Great Lakes Dragaway.

You've just absolutely gotta be there. This is the one you don't want to miss.

Many of you can remember seeing the wheel standers, funny cars, jet cars and just plain old grudge racing. Thats what the Time Machine Nationals are. Re-live those days of walking around the pits, smelling the fumes and becoming deaf from the roar.

Go to Great Lakes Dragaway for more info. And remember...this track is OUR national treasure...right in our back yard. So get there and support it.

Heaven City Cruise Night!

We had a great time at this event. It was the last on for this season. Heaven City is located in Mukwanago Wisconsin. It is one of the historical treasures of Wisconsin. A favorite hang out for gangsters and mobsters of an earlier time.

Cars where packed in yet plenty of room to see great vehicles and visit with friends.

Thanks to everyone there for making Wisconsin Hot Rod Radio feel like one of the mobsters.

Great fun.

And don't forget...the neat resturant and the Greenfield Gallery and Museum is open year round. So get out there.

Fort Atkinson Cruise Night...Cruise the Fort!

A special thanks to the people who run the Fort Atkinson car show last Tuesday. It was a lot of fun. With 68 antique tractors playing games? Over 410 total classics with the tractors, trucks, bikes and cars.

And a big thank you to our friends at 3D Sound. They always make the atmosphere more exciting with their great music, knowledgeable car talk and keeping the show alive.

See ya next year!

The Quiet Photographer

Keep looking at the Photo Album because Dick has been busy. We just got in photos from Watertown's Riverfest Car Show ...take a look.

Waukesha Old Car Club's Frame Park will be posted soon.

And we know he documented the Bronze Fonz celebration last Tuesday. So keep checking in.

Thanks Dick for working so hard.

This Week's Show
Saturday, August 23, 2008

Missed the show...that's ok...because you can click here to have it replayed....over and over and over and over.

BULLETIN:
We interrupt this regularly scheduled program to bring you an important interview...the program originally schedule for today will be played in it's entirety on our next program.

(Special thanks to Matt Planning - we look forward to talking with him next week.)

Captn Bob was able to interview Garry Marshall, the creator and executive producer of the hit TV show Happy Days. Plus he is a 5 time prime time emmy nominee.

Leave it to Captn Bob to get an exclusive. Garry talks about the Happy Days show and the cast. Why the show was based on Milwaukee. And he shares a special secret about the Fonz.

You can see photos of the Bronze The Fonz ceremony by going to our WHRR Photo Album. The cars were furnished by local car guys. How cool is that.

Captn Bob will talk about his adventure hanging out with the Happy Days gang last Tuesday. It was the day long celebration of Milwaukee's newest statue...the Bronz Fonz.

His shopping experience....car repairs...the interview....and the friendships made.

So...listen in...to hear the story as only Captn Bob can tell.

Plus we will be talking with Junior from the Tichigan Lions Club's car show which will be held on Sunday, August 24th.

AND...the last installment of the WHRR Secret Decoder Ring contest. You could win a $100 dollar gas card.

Two interviews! Decoder Ring Contest! Car Shows!

The first interview was with the people from the Masterpiece Style and Speed Showcase.

Captn Bob and Arlo are honored to be able to sit down with the folks from the Masterpiece Style and Speed Showcase. Our special guests Leon Flagg, Chair and Sarah Drilias, Associate Director of Development, JFS will share with us many of details of this year's show.

The Masterpiece is a full weekend of automotive events with rare cars and unique people from around the world. Celebrate the automobile as art and heart-pounding excitement!

Milwaukee is very fortunate to have this showcase that has been referred to as the "Pebble Beach" of the midwest.

Leon, Sarah and a host of others have worked very hard with local and global car lovers. Bringing you some of the rarest and most beautiful vehicles in the world.

The showcase is Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, 2008 Please visit thier website.
www.milwaukeemasterpiece.com

The second interview is discussing the Bronze Fonz Ceremonies.

We had an interview with Dave Fantle of Visit Milwaukee. Dave is involved with the Bronze The Fonze ceremonies on Tuesday, August 19th. Captn Bob will be participating in this event which chauffeurs the cast of Happy Days.

Part 3 of the Decoder Ring Contest. You could win a $100 gas card!

And you won't believe this...but we have recieved over 10 new carshows since last week's show. So we are going to have to cram those in somewhere.

Shew!

Go to Past Shows to hear it again!

Next Week's Show
Saturday, Aug 30, 2008

Matt Planning and his really cool invention.
(resheduled from Aug 23rd - thanks Matt!)

We are going to interview Matt who invented a novel little adapter for car guys who want to listen to their iPods, CD players or satellite radios (XM or Sirius, for example) with their unmodified AM (or AM/FM) radios... The product is called the RediRad, short for "Rediscover Radio", and for the FIRST TIME, a stock AM radio can stay in the dash AND seamlessly play the music from any portable player through it.  And whats really neat is that the RediRad doesn't have to stay with the car if the decides to sell.

More info is at www.rediscoveradio.com ...

And Captn Bob will be talking about the famous Solid Gold's Dare Car Show. This event will be held on Sunday, September 7and is located in Greenfield Wisconsin.
